Stefano Tempesta

I'm a technology and product leader with 20+ years building and running secure enterprise and consumer platforms at scale, currently leading product engineering for "Care for Kids", connecting Australian families with the child care solutions they need. My focus sits at the intersection of cloud security and data privacy, blockchain, and AI — turning complex, regulated problems into architectures that are scalable, secure, and genuinely future-ready.

Beyond the day job, I write. As an activist and self-described ambassador of technology for good, I explore stories of resilience and the transformative power of understanding between peoples — including the bestselling "Messengers of Peace", written under the collective pseudonym "Stepan Buryachenko". I'm also a volunteer Scout Leader, an author of books on scout and youth leadership, and — by my own admission — a fairly poor musician with a can-do, think-positive attitude. People say I live at a different speed.

I've lived in six countries, hold three citizenships, and speak fluent English, Italian, and Spanish (my Russian remains a work in progress). When I'm not writing or leading Scout groups along ancient pilgrim routes, I split my time between Australia and a small town in southern Italy, with my family, my guitars, and thousands of travel photos still to be categorized.
